It was time for a new morning pages journal and I thought it might as well look fun and colorful for my morning adventures in babbling. I like to write in the inexpensive composition journals that have a hard cover, but I typically buy the ones from Office Max or Staples versus a dollar store because the paper and cover are of a nicer quality.
I decorated the cover with lots of scrap pieces of paper in blues and greens and then rolled over it with a brayer loaded with white acrylic paint. The inside front and back covers are covered in vintage music paper. I colored the music paper with Caran d'Ache water soluable crayons and then brayered over with white acrylic paint again. I've been doing a lot of letter doodling lately so I put an extra quote that I thought was appropriate on the inside front cover.
I started writing in this journal this morning and I loved being greeted by this playful cover.

Love this page too! Great quote and calm colors.
Nice and pretty colors. I like the music notes!
Hi Carolyn, thanks so much for stopping by and brightening my day with your sweet comments. I started The Artist's Way a few years ago and had to stop, but am just about to pick it back up. Yesterday I created a new journal with pastel pages just for writing my morning pages. I hope your cardstock journal turns out great. I made a Halloween/Fall journal with all cream cardstock and it was great. But I found myself gluing in so many pieces of scrapbook paper, that I thought I might as well have constructed it of such. Love your doodling!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with. xx,
Autumn Clark
